1. During May 1954, casual observation indicated that there was no substantial
Soviet 'Air Force strength in the Estonian' SSR. In the ... middle Hof May, fewer
than 10 twin-engiine, aircraft .were seen flying over Tallinn. They:appyeared to
have twin tails they were bombers
based on Lasnatae
2. During the same period, approximately six jet fighteras,,apparently from
Lasnamae airfield, were observed flying singly over .Tallinn.
3. During a brief period of April 1954, a large number of jet fighters were
seen flying over Riga.
