The following aircraft and air activity were observed at Schcenwvaldo
.
airfield on 20, 21 and 22 J;.nuary 1955t
20 January. Bets; een 0900 and 1230, 3 Fo..2s
successively and circled over Oberheide for about half an, hour.,
Subsequently, the aircraft returned to the field and l cnr?cdi
individually. After about h? alf an hour, the aircraft ag?a .n took
off and repeated flying in the saiie mianner.
21 Ja,nuar Y. Between 1745 and 2200, there was air activity by 3 Po-2s
whigh took off at intervals of about 5 minutes, circled over the
village and its surroundings for about 10 minutes and then landed.
The aircraft again took off after about .15 r:2nutes. They had their
landing searchlights on during the take-offs and landings and had
set position lights during the flight.
22 January. At 0630, the flight control station and the aprons in
front of the hangars were illuminated although no air activity was
conducted. The same observation was made on various other days.
Commento Schoen~,,alde airfield is still occupied by some
Po-2s.
