On 28-DeceMber 1954 a convoy of 50 trucks, each carrying 30 persons, old and 25X1 young, was O traveling north along the North Szechuan Road in the direction of Chapei (7037/0554), northern industrial center of Shanghai. Following the trucks was another vehicle carrying soldiers, each armed with a light machine gun and a farther unknown number of persons. Behind that vehicle was another that appeared to be a fire bride car; it also was 25X1 loaded with people. 2. Passengers in the 50 trucks were being sent to an unknown destination for "brain=washing." Those passengers in the vehicle carrying the soldiers and (hose in the fire brigade car were being taken to an unknown destination to be shot. 3.
