THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
the
surveying and erection of triangulation points which had started
in the fall of 1953 with the cooperation of Soviet experts was
completed. The surveying covered the entire area east of the line
Uckermuende - Pasewalk - Prenzlau - Joachimsthal - Bernau - East Berlin
- Koenigswusterhausen - Finsterwalde - and the course of the Elbe
River between Riess, and the Czechoslovakian border. During the
same period, triangulation points were made~in those parts of Polish
occupied Germany east of the Order which could be seen.from East
Germany. Surveying activities and the erection of triangulation points
was to be continued in 1955. By the end of the year the area east
of the line Barth - Demmin - Neubrandenburg - Neuruppin - Brandenburg -
Wittenberg was scheduled to be covered.
