1. On 28* January 1955, it waa learned that some of the temporary barracks
in Damp Schweinrich had to be immediately provided with 368 iron
:- stoves by 12 February.
2. On 5 ~ebruary 19`55. it was learned that a tent camp for Soviet troops
was to be established near the old mansion on Wustrow Peninsula on
the side fronting the sea. It was to consist of 1,850 four-man tents
which were to be set 50 am into the ground. A 2.80 meter barbed-wire
fenes was to be erected along the continental side. The pro3ect will
allegedly be aompliaid:by late February or early tdarch. Large garages
for gun$ and trucks and solid brick buildings for Soviet officers will
be constructed by Bauunion Wismar. 2

At 1900 on ~3 February 1955, 2 shipments were detrained at the Stendal
freight station. They included 8 x 5?-mm AT guns and about 60 truoks.
After the detrainment, the Tauentzien Kaserne (5584), which had
previously been oooupied only lightly, was again occupied about 50
percent by approximately 400 soldiers. 3

At 1820 on 16 February 1955, a column of 6 M-13 rocket launchers,
15 trucks with approximately 75 soldiers, 1 radio truck and 1 field

trucks, 1 radio truck and 2 field kitchens from the KraftEahrer
Kaserne (5443) in Rathenow were entrained at the NordbahnhoP in

6. et 0945 on 14 February 1955. a train of flatcars with 12 x 37-mm AA 25X1
guns, about 30 trucks and 17 boxoars mostly with soldiers, 1 ambulance
and 1 field kitchen stood at the Oranienburg railroad station. Motor
vehicle was seen. The shipment waa dispatched toward the 25X1
west at 1030. 6
7. At 1126 on 15 February 1955. a shipment including 5 x 76-mm AA guns
7 trucks 3 boxcars with soldiers wearing red- 25X1
bordered black epaulets came :from the direction of Loewenberg, passed
through the Oranienburg railroad station and proceeded toward Wustermark.6
8. At 0630 on 16 February 1955, 6 x 122-mm field howitzers, lx 76-mm field
gun and 17 trucks were detrained at the Neuruppin railroad station. 7
9. At 1300 on 15 February. 1 train with 30 guns of 100 to 150 mm, about
5o trucks, 3 radio trucks and 10 boxoars with soldiers passed through,
the Jueterbog railroad station and went toward Berlin. 8
10. On 19 February 1955, 2 x 100-mm AT gone, 2 prime movers and about
20 soldiers wearing red-bordered black epaulets were entrained at
the Dallgow-Doeberita railroad station. The shi went left the
railroad station at 2100. 9

was taken in mid-January in view of the exercises to be held by units
of the IX Mtz Rifle Corps in Camp Schweinrich at ~Pittstoek t
training grounds in late January.
