rollowing is the legend to a town plan of Shamkhor (N 40-50, E 46-02), which 25X1
is attached,
Most buildings in the town are made of brick, and most streets are paved with
stone. Only the Baku-Tbilisi Road (2) is asphalted.
1. Military airfield: Built in 1952. There were two- and thre
planes there, jet planes, and
2. Road from Baku to Tbilisi: Asphalted by the German Army in 1943. It was
about ten meters wide and could easily handle three trucks abreast.
3. Railroad station of Shamkhor.
4. Cognac factory No. 14 (Konyak Rombinat).
5. Vo3 enkomat.
6. MVD militia headquarters: One-story brick building.
7. Rayispolkalm: Supervisory headquarters for the regional kolkhozy (sic: Rayon
Executive Cco^rt.ttee).
8. Secretariat of the Raykom.

Lenin. The name was changed in 1947-1948.
