(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 25X1 3- 4. a large number of naval vessels were seen at anchor e e light a destroyer was under way in the direction of tM anchored vessels. course approximately west-southwest and was made up of three large ships, probably cruisers, followed by six destroyers.,and a number of submarines. The distance between vessels was about 200 meters. No ships were at anchor in Bela Bay at this time. a long column of naval vessels was observed 10 to 15 minutes east of the Bela light. The oolamn was on a 25X1 one cruiser and six destroyers were seen about four minutes - ortheast of Bela light. The ships were pm a course approzimatel south-southeast in column with the cruiser as leader. All of the ships had two masts and two at e . guns were pointed at a target that was being towed from the east toward Bela light. At about two minute intervals the cruiser fired three or possibly four salvos, estimated at 16 shots per salvo, at the target, which could not be observed for hits. two stacks, was seen approz tely three el nu es northeast of dastarnia (N 54-42, Z 18-41).
