REMARKS,
1. On 26 January 1955, the two-story building at 2-4 Gorkij Avenue
in Budapest which was located at the intersection of Gorkij Avenue
and )relsoeerdoesor Street and was surrounded by a fenced-in garden)
was guarded by a Soviet sentry who carried -ifla and wore black-
bordered red epaulets. Two soviet officers.

2. On 27 January 1955, building Nos.10, 12, 12a and 14 on Bajza Street
in Budapest, which were located on the southwest side of this street
and on bot} sides of the intersection of this street and Benczur 25X1
Street were occupied by Soviets. Building Nos.10 and 12a were two-
storystructures, while building Nos.12 and 14 were single-story
houses. All the buildings were surrounded f ed-in gardens.
Building No.l2a, in whose garden truck was parked, was 25X1
guarded by a Soviet sentry who carried a submachine gun and wore
red-bordered black epaulets. At about noon, 2 senior lieutenants,
4 lieutenants and 2 junior lieutenants, all of whom wore black
service color and signal insignia, left building No.12a, entered
the garden, and, after smoking a cigarette, returned to the building.
Individual soldiers who wore red-bordered' black epaulets were
occasionally observed in the gardens of the three other buildings.
No antenna was observed on or at any of the four buildings. It was
believed that building Yo.12a housed an office, while the three
other buildings were used as billets. 2
3. On 29 January 1955, the installation at L03-105 Voeroesvari Street
in Budapest, which was located at the intersection of the northeast side
of Voeroesvari Street and the southeast side of Hevizi Street, was
guarded by two Soviet sentries who carried submachine guns and wore
black-bordered red epaulets. The one sentry stood guard at the
southern entrance on Voeroesvari Street, the other was observed
behind the barbed-wire fence on Hevizi Street. The northern entrance
on Voeroesvari Street was apparently not used. Buildings observed
despite the poor observation possibiliiiw Aaaluded three three-

Streit echeloned to the rear, and a two-story windowless storehouse-
like structure which fronted on Hevizi Street. Soviet soldiers were
observed entering and leaving the southernmost of the three
three-story buildings,which apparently housed offices. During the
observation period of 90 minutes, a total of 2 officers who wore an
undetermined service color and 23 soldiers who wore red-bordered
black epaulets, but no motor vehicles,were observed in the area of

Comment It is believed that a Soviet command agency is
located in this installation.
Comment. A previous report has mentioned that building
No.12a houses a Soviet office. It is
believed that building No.10, 12,and 14 are used as billets for
Soviet soldiers.
Comment. The resent re ort substantiates the bel' at
this installation houses a Soviet supply depot.
The Hungarian station ration supply depot which was previously
presumed to be located there and in the buildings north of Hevizi
Street has no longer been observed.
