1. By 1 August 1955, the railroad line-Halle-Koethen-Calbe-Schoenbeck-Magdeburg
must be doubletracked and completely electrified. After the completion of
this, 45 electric locomotives will run onrthia route.
2. 100 express cars for this are being built by the VIM Waggonbau Qoerlits.
Power is to be furnished by the Muldenhutte.power plant. 450 men are working
on the construction of this power plant.
3. According to the plan, the first turbine will be tested on 25 March 1955 and
by 1 June it will deliver the first current with a frequency of 16 2/3 watts
to the electrified stretch Halle-Magdeburg.
4. This single track has already been electrified. The first electric train,
a test train. coming from Ha],le,arrived in Magdeburg on 30 December 1954.
