1. The Research Institute for Magnetic Materials (Forechungsinstitut fuer
magnetische Werkstoffe), of the East German Academy of Sciences, was
located in Jena Helmholzweg. The Institute was under the direction of Dr.
Albrecht Mager.'
2. The research of the Institute was directed predominantly toward economic
applications. Measurements were made for various enterprises which
produced substitute metals. Prof. Schuets and Prof. Eckardt
were the ohief scientists responsible for the work of the Institute"
3. The following individuals were associated with the Institutes

Dr. Greiner (fnu) - Division Chief
Schwabe ? Division Chief
Stephan (fnu) - Division Chief
Associates (Diplomphysiker) were Buohwald (fnu) - the son of a professor,
Adler (fnu), Pertil (fnu), Wagner (fnu), Vogel (fnu), Schroeder (fnu) and
Voigt (fnu).
