REFERENCES RD THE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE. THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) ' a 1. On 12 January 1955, a large cargo ship of about 10-12,000 tons gross was being refitted in Basin No. 6. This ship was originally, in 1939-1940, under construction in Denmark for the Blue Star Line. When the Germans overran Denmark they completed the ship which sailcd under the name of SEEBOHM. The ship was sunk in the Baltic and was raised by the Poles in August 1954. She is now being rebuilt. 3. In addition to the SEEBOHM, the following were in Basin No. 6: a. Two locally built 600-ton d.w. coasters, fitting out for the USSR. b. One small merchant ship, being r 6f'Ltted. c. Two warships of unknown nationality were alongside. The masts were the only parts visible. Gdansk (Danzig) The Gdansk shipyard will complete its first 10,000-ton cargo ship in the'suamler of 1955. These cargo ships are to be single-screw diesels. the cargo ships will be entirely of Polish die el engines . construction, including the-diesels.
