Comment. The troop trains probably included 10 trains carrying an artillery brigade from Altenburg to Altengrabow and 10 return s1-ipments. On 5 March,1955, on of the return shipments containing 12 artillery pieces of 100 to 120 mm was observed on the Leipzig- Altenburg railroad line. The reshipping of troops from the Zerbst railroad station indicates that the loading stations in the Altengrabow area were being used beyond capacity during this period. Comment. The troop trains probably belong to a movement of contingents d'the 207th Mtz Rifle Div with corps artillery and corps AAA units from Burg and army engineer units from Barby to a winter field exercise in the northern sector of Letzling Heath between 1 and 5 March 1955. Another report indicated that components of the 207th Mtz Rifle Div and elements of the corps engineer battalion from Stendal also participated in the field exercise. It is noteworthy that contingents of engineer troops were previously observed in the Guesen area, and that corps AAA units or artillery units went to Altengrabow after termination of the field exercise on three troop trains on 5 and 10 March 1955? Comment. The troop train probably carried a firing detail of the 220th Hv Tank SP Regt of-the Eighth Gds A{y. Comment. Four troop trains-carried of th# t9 39th Gds Mtz Rifle Div auto Altengrabow, p trains returned to the Ohrdruf billeting area of the div ' entraining of troops at Plauen on 3 March and the unload` at lnstadt on 6 March 1955 were confirmed by other reports. Comment. Six troop trains probably carried elements of the 308th Arty Brig of the XXVIII Gds Mtz Rifle Corps to Altengrabow. The troop train on 6 March 1955 was a return shipment. Comment. Another report indicated that three troop trains carrying medium AAA units of the 62d AAA Div went to Wustrow during the night of 1 March 1955. The troop trains were followed a shipment containing a firing director on 5 March 1955. Comment. The three troop trains carried components of the 6th Gds AAA iv. On 13 February 1955, three other troop trains of the division also returned from Altengrabow. Comment. The troop trains probably carried elements of the corps RL regiment of the )eOaVIII Gds Mtz Rifle Corps. Comment. The troop trains probably belonged to the 13th AAA Div. Comment. According to another report, 14 medium AA guns of the 31st . The unit of this train has been stationed at Altengrabbow since 14 February 1955 ? AAA 91v were entrained at Velten on 5 March 1955 The troop train on 4 March 1955 was also confirmed Comment. These were probably six troop trains of the 76th Arty f the XXIX 'Gds Mtz Rifle Corps which went to Altengrabow, and two troop trains of the above unit which returned to Merseburg.
