errcoio,yrr3 in this work, These bridge; are as long as 100 meters and
can be assembled in a few hours; they are made in individual parts
which can be assembled merely br the use of screws. Their roadway
is 4.6 meters, and their steel structure is 3.8 meters high. Special
pontons, capable of supporting the hcaviestvehicular traffic, are made
to be used as piers for river bridges,, The height of these piers can
be adjusted according to the height of the river banks.
2. Monthly production capacity is 8 complete bridges, 50 meters long,, with
7 pontons (sic). The necessary section iron is supplied by the
Kladno steel plants. The entire output to date, consisting of 48 25X1
bridges, has gone to the USSR.
3. The bridge parts are first treated with artificially oxidized, bciled
linseed oil; when the oil is dry, three coats of minium are applied;
when all this is completely dry, a final coat of paint is applied
of which the composition is not known; it supposedly consists of very
elastic and tough film?
4. The plant machinery includes rapid drills driven by direct current motors,
capable of drilling up to 260 millimeters, compressed-air (12 atmospheres)
riveting machines, cutting machines with smooth--edged',disks, with a
diameter of 2,400 millimeters, drivers by 60-horsepower motors which run
at 1,400 revolutions per minute, and 350-.atmosphere hydraulic presses.
5. According to present plans, produr;L -n in 1955-1956 is to increase
by at lecst 200 percent.
