1. The former 18th Main Administration, with its seat in Dessau, in 25X1
February 1955 changed its name to the Main Administration for the
Construction of Devices and Equip>ient (Haup~verwaltung fuer Geraete
and Vorrichtungsbau). The seat of` this Administration is no longer
Dessau, but rirna. The Pirna-Sonnenstein Compound is no longer called
Materialamt or Amt flier Material, but is referred to by the new des,&-
nation quoted above.
2. Henry Herrion, , former manager of VEB Siemens --Plania is head of the Main
Administration for the Construction of Devices and Equipment. The or-
ganizational structure of the Main Administration is not yet completed.
Henrion has three deputies: a) Professor B. Baade, technical head and
head of development; b) Kuehnel (fnu), responsible for the commercial
department, the bookkeeping department, and the material supply depart-
ment; and c) Packhauser, (fnu), reponsible for social and politica125X1
affairs.

The following enterprises have so far been placed directly under the
supervision of the Main Administration for the Construction of Devices
and Equipment: a) VEB Maschinenfabrik (formerly NAGEMA)? in Schkeuditz;
Wendt jfnurgx',;b)VEB hstra-Bueromaschinenwerke, in Karl-Marx-Stadt. This
enterprise is to become the central enterprise for the construction of
aircraft engines. A test field for aircraft engines is to be installed
at the former airfield at Karl-Marx-Stadt. The production of office ma-
terial by the Astra enterprise is to be transferred to Zella-Mehlis
(Thuringia) so that the premises of the enterprise become available for
the purpose mentioned. 25X1
The airfield in Dresden-Klotzsche, which is now
being evacuated, has also been turned over to tje Main Administration
for the Construction of Devices and Equipent.`+

of the Main Administration and that all residences left by their former
inhabitants are being reserved for personnel of the Main Administration.
6. At an unspecified date in 1955, documentary material arrived from the 1ISSR
and was stored in the Pirna-~Sonfrenstein Compound. This documentary, material
refers to the construction of the MIG-17; interpreters are enga.geed in
