Gds Mecz Div developed from south toward north and terminated
in the Lieberose training area, where small elements of the
division presumably were to represent the enemy force. The
return to Berlin of elements of the 24th Gds Mecz Regt of the
-division indicated that the exercise probably terminated on
19 March. Observations at tbe'barracks installation on Braunsdorfer
,trasse indicated that units of the 312th Gds RL Regt of the Fourth
Gds Mecz Army also participated in the winter exercise of the
division.
