Comment. Since the rail shipments of import goods are reported for
the first time, no figures for comparison are available. The daily
shipments were broken down according to thOir loads. The shipments which
had Frankfurt/Oder-border as destination were redispatohed to undetermined
receiving stations in the GDR. Shipments which were directly dispatched
from the USSR to receiving stations in the GDR, also called "direct
traffic", are not contained in the present report.
