THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. In May 1954 the port executive Szczecin received a top secret order to prepare
a list of all parts of strategiequipment, with the object of procuring
spare parts and stockpiling them in case of "catastrophic events and war"
("kataklizmow, czynnikow sily wyzszej i wojny"). The lists were to be sub-
mitted with the utmost speed. Each section thereppon prepared such a list acid
submitted it to the Supply Department of the Ministry (Min. Zaopatrzenia)#1ELc).1.
2. The order also stated that the spare parts were to be placed in secret magazines,
and that their use for current purposes was forbidden. The stocks have now been
completed, but their location is still unknown. The equipment itself is not
being duplicated, but only the essential parts for each piece of equipment,
especially engines, charging units, and cranes.

3. The Ministry has a special fund for this stockpiling, astounting to of
zloty. The action was extended to all ports, and probably to certain tadustriss.
