and between the railroad crossing south of the station and the wooden bridge
which crosses the tracks and leads to the southern town section in which the
church is located. A sidetrack leads into the loading plant. Between 0900 and
0930 on 18 January 1955, six 15-ton flatcars were losdH with loose ore. Twelve
loaded cars were observed on-the tracks outside the loading plant. The loading
plant is surrounded by a two-meter high wooden fence which has two vehicle
entrances and a railroad gate. Enclosed by this fence is a 100 x 20 snU 5 etors
high building with a gently sloped saddle roof. Six railroad cars could be load-
ed at a time through six loading chutes located at the side facing the tracks.
The other side of the building had long narrow windows. No further observations
could be made. l During the period under observation, trucks loaded with loose
ore were seen on their way to the loading plant. Between 0900 and 0930, four
such t cks were counted. They were all labelled with the Object identification
sign 5 of Object No 2. The trucks were driven either by soldiers or by German
personnel.
2. The 01--erschlema ore dressing plant Object No 99 was located on the Niederschleaa -
- Schneeberg highway some 150 meters north of Schneeberg-Oberschlema railroad
station. The Object was located in a former smalthouse. The multi-story main
building was located directly on the road and was flanked by a wooden fence
enclosing the factory area. Northeast of the main building were four large
cylindrical wooden towers which were interconnected by a pipeline system and
which were believed to be concentrators. The towers were approximately 7 -`3ters
high and 18 meters in diameter. Several smaller buildings were located west of
the main building.
3. Opposite the dressing plant, a loading plant was located between the road and
the railroad tracks. A sidetrack extended to the loading plant. The plant was
surrounded by a wooden fence with one gate to the street and another one at the
sidetrack. 2 Within the enclosure was a 100-meter long temporary building,
some 4 meters high, with a gently sloped saddle roof. Behind the entrance gate,
a pile of sheet metal containers*ach container measuring approximately 80 x 30
x 40 centimeters were observed. No vehicles were seen driving into the loading
plant, nor was any loading of railroad cars observed a und.
