In early 1955, it was observed that an unusually large number of buildings in Beuthen, Miechowi and Rokitnima had to be anchored because the ground had sunk. The entire middle aisle of the old church at Miechowita"had to be propped up, and a school was dismantled because of damage due to ground sinking. The damage was caused because the galleries of worked-out coal layers were not filled with waste or sand and were simply walled up after gallery props had been removed. 2. Destroyed buildings at Miechowift and Beuthen have not been reconstructed. On the oihsa hand, 19Kre was intensive building activity toward the west of theeq ? 1 Ift rumored that the whole area around Beuthen would be evacuated fat' alwAft Virposes.
