eac' of the 7th Gds Iiec:, Div and 6th Gds ~Iecz Div was held in the
Forst - i;1inge - Cottbus area -between 15 and 19 !!arch and 22 and 26

in the present report, the 9th'I,;ecz Div conducted a field exercise
in the area around Spreanberg i:maediatel~y adjacent 1td4 t W' '-,uth on
and after 12 ;:arch 19x5. ;;o conclusions can oe dra n concerning the

troop trains which went from posts of the 9th Tk D
to t1' 'orst -
Klinge area during the same time. A division field exercise was held
by this division in the Zeithain - i uehlberg area on 20 i;a 'ch 1955.
Cornment. The troop trains probably belonged to the 8th Gds Iecz
Div. Other reports indicate that components of the, divliffoh from
Leipzig and , srimraa conducted Fold exercises in the Grimma '- 0schatz
area between 21 and 26 March 1955. It has not been :etermined if the
above troop trains are tieing connected with these field exercises or not.
3. F-~Comraent. According to another report, four troop trains with
artillery units were observed en route from the direction Altenburg
toward Leipzig on 16 Iiarch 1955. The troop
trains in the ref prance report t Lis did not go to A tengravow as was
previously assumed. Lislecen as receiving station and the"pr8bab1h
eturn of the' same units from i;erseourg on 20 1-larch 1955 indicate that
the troop trains were operated in conjunction with the field exercise of
the 21st Gds I:ecz Div in the Lossa area.
Coituiient. Troop trains and troop movenents fror.. Witten.>erg toward
Juaterbo, on 16 and 18 "'arch, and four troop trains which returned
from the direction of Jueteroog on 20 and 22 14arch 1955 were :indicative
of a field exercise of the 6th Gds Tk Div. The troop trains in the
present report are probably connected with this manquvef.
