Other reports clearly indicate that a field exercise 25X1 eac' of the 7th Gds Iiec:, Div and 6th Gds ~Iecz Div was held in the Forst - i;1inge - Cottbus area -between 15 and 19 !!arch and 22 and 26 arch 1';55 respectively. A division field exercise was held by this division in the Zeithain - i uehlberg area on 20 i;a 'ch 1955. Cornment. The troop trains probably belonged to the 8th Gds Iecz Div. Other reports indicate that components of the,divliffoh from Leipzig and , srimraa conducted Fold exercises in the Grimma '- 0schatz area between 21 and 26 March 1955. It has not been :etermined if the above troop trains are tieing connected with these field exercises or not. 3. F-~Comraent. According to another report, four troop trains with artillery units were observed en route from the direction Altenburg toward Leipzig on 16 Iiarch 1955. The troop trains in the ref prance report t Lis did not go to A tengravow as was previously assumed. Lislecen as receiving station and the"pr8bab1h eturn of the' same units from i;erseourg on 20 1-larch 1955 indicate that the troop trains were operated in conjunction with the field exercise of the 21st Gds I:ecz Div in the Lossa area.
