At 0700 on 22 March 1955, a troop train, which had arrived from the direction of Berlin was unloaded at the Neustrelitz railroad station. Eight rocket launchers of an undetermined type, some 50 trucks and approximately 200 soldiers wearing red1-bordered black epaulets wire observed. I 2. Prior to 23 March, the Alto Grenadier Kaserne (2225) in Neustrelitz was occupied to capacity by some 500 soldiers. On 24 March, 6 x 122-mm field howitzers from this installation were entrained at the Neustrelitz railroad station. After the loading, the installation appeared to be only 25 percent occupied. 3. At 0800 on 24 March, 6 x 122..mm field howitzers and some 30 trucks Hauptmann Strasse for entraining at the Neustrelitz railroad station. 2 4. On 25 March, a troop train arrived from Neustrelitz at the Oranienburg freight station at 1640 and left for Forst Zinna at 1711. On 4 April, 4 x 85-mm Ali guns and 3 AA guns, presumably of 57 mm, were seen at the drill ground of the Flugplatz Kaserne (2381) in Schoenwalde. The guns which were assumed to be 57-mm guns had protective shields and flash hiders. 3 6. On 4 April, Lieutenant Colonel Chesnakov and " M-31 rocket launchers were seen in the installation. 4 7~. At 0500 on 28 March, a Soviet AAT unit was detrained at the Velten freight station. Sixteen AA guns, presumably of 85 mm, 20 trucks and soldiers wearing red-bordered black epaulets with artillery insignia were observed. 5 8. At 0680 on 2 April, a troop train arrived at the Dallgow railroad station from Neustrelitz. The train consisted of 1.2 boxcars, flatcars and SSy-type flatcars which carried 5 T-34/85 tanks, 1 SU-100 gun, 1 JSU-122 gun, 1 JS-3 tank and 10 to 12 trucks with covered numbers. 6 Comment. Elements of the 126th Gds RL Bn of the 9th Gds Tank Div returned from firing practices, possibly at Jueterbog. Comment, Elements of the 495th (?) Arty Regt and the 234th Mort Regt of the 9th Gds Tank Div probably transferred to Jueterbog in several shipments for firing practices. Comment. The information on the observrtion of 57.-mm AA guns may be correct. E!!"C. The information confirms the 90th RL Regt of the Second Gds Meez Army in Schoenwalde until 4 April 1955. 5. Comment. Elements of the 31st AAA Div probably returned from Altengrabow. (Comment.
