REMARKS.
to (in 28 February 1955, the heating installations for the hangar, offices 25X1
and work shops at Oranienburg airfield were inspected by Kechchief Major
Davidov (fnu) and the supply officer who was a major. These installations
were to be re-conditioned. The inspection was made to determine rhether a
now installation with boilerhouse etc. was to be erected. No decision vas
made so far, since a new installation would require additional expenses
and only 200,000 DUE had been allotted for the re-conditioning of the
installation and the glazing of the hangar. During the inspection it was
observed that the hangar was partitioned in 2 proportions of 1/3 to 2/3 by a
brickivall about 2.5 meters long. About 20 tank trucks of various sizes,
including some three-axle..trucks which were about 8 meters long and 8
tank truck trailers were parked in the smaller section and single-engine
biplanes and 3 single-engine monoplanes in the larger section. About-35
soldiers wearing black-bordered blue epaulets were seen at the field. There
wer*pparently no changes in the status of the field. The field was
entirely covered by snow. On 1 March, a single-engine monoplane landed at,
the field. hen the major of the field oar the aircraft, he said "There my
great Nachalnik. Was already here last week. " An air force brigadier
general who inspected Oranienburg airfield almost every week had arrived in
the aircraft. It was not determined from where the officer came.
2. There was no change in the occupational strength of the ;Veisse Stadt
restricted area. Two thirds of Unit Koslov had transferred from building No 2
was to be re-conditioned. Buildings Nos 30, 31, 36, and 3 had been
completed and occupied by air force officers' dependents. 25X1
the entire restricted area was to be occupied by air force 25X1
personnel in the near future. A wire fence, about 2.5 meters high and extending
along buildings Nos 38 through 41 adjac.=nt to the cemetry wall had been
erected. Buildings Nos 3, 5 and 8 which had been vacated by the topographic
army unit were inspected by a commission of 10 high-ranking air force officers.
These buildings were to be occupied by air force personnel in late March.
On 8 1larch, the EM quarters in buildings Nos 9 and 11 were vacated to 50
percent ,by the army units. These buildings and buildings Nos 3, 5, and 8
were inspected by one air force brigadier general and 6 other high-finking

WYM,
Comment. The re-conditioning of the hangar, the annex of which
is scheduled to house again the flight control station, and the heating
installations of the buildings for technical purposes are connected with
the occupation of Oranienburg airfield by a-flying unit in the near future.
At present, the Po-2 detail is still stationed there. It is believed to be
transferred in connection with a new occupation of the fields
25X1
omment. The evacuation of quartering buildings and the shifting
of-personnel within the restricted area are preparatory measures for-the
occupation of the field by a flying unit.
