At 1230 on 8 April 1955, a troop train which carried 10 AT guns presumably 25X1 of 100 mm and which included 5 box1are was at the Bernau railroad station ready to depart toward Eberswalde. 2. On 5, 'l and y April, rormer army 4ioining mepoti .I k4e.441 In Dernau was occupied to capacity by 2,500 to 3,00 soldiers wearing red-bordered black epaulets with artillery insignia. 3. On 5 April, 4 x 100-mm AT guns were seenin the north section of the installation and, on 7 April, 15 guns, 30 trucks and 2 x 57-mm AT s 25X1 were seen in thf northwest section. Truck ]and 2bus were seen entering and leaving the installation. 25X1 4. At about 1330 on 17 April, 2 T-AA/Aq tanks- - 4 tanks, 1 JSU-249 gun, 1 JS-3 tank and 10 trucks were entrained at the 25X1 Bernau railroad station.3 5, On 17 April, former Army Clothing Depot Ix in Bernau was occupied as previously by 2s500 to 3,000 soldiers wearing red-bordered black epauletI with artillery insignia and, a few, black epaulets with signal insignia. 6. Twelve rocket launchers and approximately 20 vehicles were definitely observed in the quartering area.4 7. On 14 and 17 April, 26 guns, presumably howitzers, were seen in front of the gun sheds. Instruction was held on 12 x 100-ma and 2 x 85-.--mm AT auns. On 17 April. the gun sheds were occupied to capacity. Trucks hand bus were seen entering and leaving the installation. 8. Between 8 and 17 April, the Luftnachrichten Kaserne (424-1) in Bernau was occupied by some 2,000 soldiers wearing red-bordered black epaulets with tank and artillery insignia and black and blue-bordered black epaulets. 9. The following heavy weapons were observed: 3 T-34/85 tanks, 1 JS-3 tank, 2 two-axle armored personnel carriers and 1 x 57-mm AT gun. Six trucks with pontoons and 1 motorboat on a one-axle `railer wAro seen in the engineer-occupied section. On 11 April, training was conducted with g asmasks donned. Signal training in the terrain and 8 to 10 armored personnel carriers, 3.mo-toorcycles and 4 sidecar motorcycles were also seen. 11. 0n-11 April, tanks were unloaded at the Bernau railroad station. Imprints of tank tracks led to the Luftnachric. ten Kaserne. 12, Jeeps Commen. According to weapons, an AT unit of the 71st Light Arty Brig r nsferred, presumably to the Templin training grounds, fof firing practices. 13. On 11 April, the SS Brieftaubenstation (4243) in Bernau was again occupied to capacity by soldiers wearing red-bordered black epaulets with artillery insignia. The following heavy weapons were seen$ 4 emplaced 3 -mm AA s and 3 x 37-ma6and 2 x 76-mm AA guns at training. Seder was also seen. 14. At about 0600 on 17 Affil, a troop train left Bernau and went toward Berlin. It carried 5 x 122-mm field howitzers, 6 x 100-mm AT guns, 6 tractors,715 to 20 trucks and 1 field kitchen and included about 10 boxcars. 5. 6.
