14 On 1 il 1955. it was learned I I that 90 technicians were 25X1
employed in the preparation of new maps in Russian of the entire area of the GDE.1

3, In ilp Camp Schweinrioh at the Wittstock training grounds was oa ied by a
guard detail of appr?acimately 100 soldiers and a fatigue detail of some61diers who
were engaged in digginglut field cables. Three tank sheds at the souther edge of
the camp had been dismantled and had been shipped away toward Wittsteck.
4. Between 2100 on 8 Anri1& and 0500 on 9 Anril. 3 x?122 guns engaged in a night firing
at the Gentarode post training grounds near Neuruppin. The targets were not lighted
during the firing. 2M 19 Aflri,,,,1a 3 T-34 tanks held a night firing practices.at the
same time and in the same area. The tanks fired at unlighted targets, 1,600 to 1,800
meters om their positions. Subsequently, the targets were lighted for inspection
of hits'
5. In early oril., it was learned that the units from the Perleberg post were to leave
for the summer camp between 20 and 25 April, reportedly for Waldlager II south of
Huetten in the Letsling Beath. After 6 &=Us individual trucks with billeting
equipment left the post. Camp Schweinrich at the Nittstock training grounds was
allegedly to be occupied by air force units.3
6. At 2000 gn 19 April, 8 x 160-mm mortars, 8 full-track prime movers, 4 trucks and 25X1
1 field kitchen were detraiged at the Rathenow Nordbahnhof and left for the Pionier
Kaserne (5442) In Rathenow.
