1 e There is a total of approaciaately 2,000 soldiers in Varnsdorf (lei 50-55, 1 114-37) .
Part of them, infantrymen with red shoulderboarda, are billeted'in the former
hospital, and another part, wearing black shoulderboards, are billsted in the
former "Landratsamt" (Regional L inistration HQ during the Go== oca ation).
Some 300 to 500 of then belong to PS (Border 0gard) units, wear peon shoulder-
boards, and are billeted in the former Liebisoh Villa. then on duty, the PS
soldiers are armed with subnaohine mss. 25X1
2, There are only 8 to 10 policemen in Vrf. They belong to the police
detachmhnt of Riaburlc (N 50-57, S 114-314).
Comment, This is the first report reoeivsd here of a sizeable ?{1(tazy
garrison in arnsdorfe

wnn no a its own police detachment.
