An infantry NCO school is located in the former artillery barracks of Inowroclaw where the 59th Artillery Regiasnt was at one time stationed. 2. A parade ground is located about nine kilometers from Inowroclaw in the neighborhood of the Plawinek and Matey (N52-46, R18-15) villages and of the Gniewkowo woods (N52.53, Ei8-26). It is used as an?: exercise ground by units stationed in Inowroclav and other localities. 3. Two airfields are in the immediate vicinity of Inowroclaw. The larger air- field is near Latkowo (N52-50, L18-18), and was built by the Germans in World War II. The Polish Air Force is aocciodated in barracks on the airfield. About 70 aircraft are always on the field, mostly of the Soviet TAE type. There are also a few tvo--epgine training aircraft of Soviet origin. Repair and adaptation of the lai*ge air raid shelters was began in, the su>Amrer of 1954. One shelter is in the western part of Inowroclaw, and one shelter is in the southeastern part of the town near the water tower in ulica Staro- Posnanska. Both shelters date back to World War II.
