vorstand are currently engaged in the activities listed:
Lilli Beckmann is assigned to the Marienborn border-control point
b. Edith Braunsdordl is in charge of trade-union unity work in
Mecklenburg and Brandenburg.
c. Wilhelm Urban1 is responsible for work in West Berlin. He works
closely with the Berlin FDGB Bezirk Directorate and is responsible
for sending workers from East Berlin VEB's to West Berlin for agi-
tation and demonstration purposes.
d. Crest Weber1 is responsible for the direction of the Trade Union
Unity Departments in the Central Directorates of the Industrial
Unions (Zentralvorstaende der Industriegewerkschaften) and in the
Berlin FDGB Bezirk Directorate.
e. Guenter Zanderl is responsible for all-German activity (Gesamt-
deutsche Arbeit) in the cultural sphere. He is particularly con-
cerned with organizing and dispatching cultural groups (singing
societies, dancing groups, amateur theatrical groups, etc.) from
East German VEB's to West German enterprises.

report of the work he has done during the preceding week,. Functionaries
who are located too far from Berlin to appear personally must'send their
reports to the Department. These reports are consolidated and form the
basis oija combined'activities report for the Department, a copy of
which goes to the Secretariat of the FDGB Bundesvorstand and one to the
SED Central Committee. At these weekly meetings, the functionaries also
receive their assignments for the coming week and methods of implementing
the work plans are discussed. The work of the previous week is also
criticized,.
