1. Arthur Pieck, head of the General Administration Department in the East
Germany goverment chancellery, is slated to become the chief of the
East German air force which is to be established as soon as compulsory
military service starts.-
2, Pieck is to be replaced by Anton Fischbach, deputy to State Secretary Fritz
Geyer.
3. Several other reassignments of upper-level executives are expected in pre-
paration for the public announcement that there will be compulsory service in
a "national army",
