COUNTRY,
1. Between 29 March and 2~ April 1955, the Panzer~seger Kaserne in Spremberg 25X1
was;ooaupied by an estimated 3,000 men wearing blue service colcr.
Discharges took apparently place after Easter.
On 29 and 31 2tara` h and 2~ ~,~ T. 12, 20. 22 and 25 April, training,
predominantly in firing and field training, was held in the barrackslarea
at tho poet training grounds. About 12 T-34 tanks practiced driving.

It was learned that the units in the installation were called A-unit and B-unito
Drill with rifles end maohine?guns was daily observed in the barracks yard.
No heavy wea;~~ons were seen. On 15 April, 16 2idecar motorcycles entered the
installation from the direction of 1~aumburg.
On .14 April, 70 to 80 KYP soldiers wearing red-bordered black collar patches
. rec-~ivsd instruction on 6 x 37-mm AA nuns in the installation on Buergeraue
in Ootha. Ten ~heds for motor vehicles and guns had. been built in the
barracks yard
5. On 14 Ai~ril, KYP soldiers with blue, red and green service color were seen
in the former Flak Kaserne on Ohrdruferstrasse.2
