undergone general overhaul by 15 April 1955. These locomotives were reaey for 25X1
trial runs in Dessau. The trial runs were scheduled to be made between the
Probetzei*a 9r61srs-d station and the zonal boundary. The overhead line system
is to be used for these trial runs. A 25X1
total of 28 c locomotives returned from the USSR is scheduled to be repaired
in 1955. Ton such locomotives will be made serviceable in 1956. Because of poor
wingings the electric locomotives are believed to be liable to frequent repair.
Comment. In 1952, 186 former German locomotives confiscated by the Soviets 25X1
in 1945 were repurchased by the East German railroad administration. These 25X1
looomotives,which were for the most part heavily damaged,were repaired in Dessau
for later use on electrified railroad lines entral Germany.
