to The 1955 East r?I'*n power program provided that the control-circuit 25X1
installations (Regelschaltwerke) of 40 large-type transformers were
to be replaced. These transformers are operating as regulating
transformers in the Bast German power plants. The 1955 Plan provided
for 80,000 DYE to be spent per transformer for the replacement of the
control circuit installations. Replacement of these installations
was to be carried out by VEB Transformatoren- and Roentgenwerk Dresden
(TRARO)a 25X1
20 In mid-May 19559 the Plan was changed and replacement of the control
circuit installations in 1955 was cancelled. The Main Administration
for Energy in the Ministry for Heavy Industry was instructed that the
power plants would. have to replace the contacts in their transformers
during 1955 instead of abt>ning new control-circuit installations.
The replacement of contacts was to be financed from the funds provide25X1
for general repair.
3. An order for the delivery in 1955 of 40 control circuit installations,
which TRARO Dresden had received early-$n, 1955? was cancelled in the
latter part of May 1955
