On 9 May 1955, a lieutenant colonel wearing red-bordered black epaulets 25X1
with artillery insignia, 3 majors wearing black-bordered red epaulets
and an undetermined number of Soviet civilians were observed at the
former Jaeger Kaserne i t in whose area 3 trucks, 2 van-like
motor vehicles and jeep ith a driver wearing red-bordered 25X1
sixty soldiers wearing
red-bordered black and or blue-bordered black epaulets who carried exercise
books and manuals asembled in the area of the Kattnersiedlung (settlemen125X1
which was guarded by a sentry who wore blue-bordered black epaulets,
whereupon they entered one of the buildings. Three trucks were psrked in
the area of the settlement where Soviet civilians were also observed. Tw(25X1
groups of about 20 soldiers alternately practiced with two 57-ma AT guns
and received field training with rifles in rln#r ng area 3 kilometers
east of the railroad station.
Comment. The observations made in Eisenstadt reveal no change in
the occupation of the station. A training course in likely to be held
