THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1 on 18 May 1955, Czechar Vred"Ift Waft
Danube river near the erg, west of Bratislava. Pour
Czech boats were observed at kilometer marker 1876/4 some
20 meters from the Austrian bank of the r tier. The crews of these vessels
were firing live ammunition in the direction of a atone quarry. At the
foot of the quarry they had placed targets representing tanks, soldiers
behind cover and bunker firing ports.
2. One vessel was equipped with a tank gun and turret of the
barrelled 20 mm AA gun; tw other vessels were armed with
and a heavy machine gun each. The fourth boat presumably was the command
boat from which offieersrobserved the firing exercises through field glasses.
The crew of each boat numbered 10 to 12 men.
3. The firing exercises lasted from 9:45 an to 4 p.m.
