Third Guards Mechanized Army: a. 7th Guards Tank Division: Between 24 June and 4 July, rear details in Rosslau were training with individual T-54 tanks* be 9th Mechanized Division: Two shipments were dispatched from Luokenwalde to Cottbus on 7-8 July, c. 62nd AAA Division: Prior to 4 July, troops of the division were bivouacked in a tent camp near their post and engaged in training. 3. Fourth Guards Mechanized Armv: a. 63rd AAA Division: Two shipments were dispatched from Puerstenwalde to Wustrow on 30 June while another shipment went from Eberewalde to Jur+^rbog on 5 July. be 71st Light Artillery Brigades The bulk of the division was at its post on 6 July* co Special Amphibious Units On 30 June and 1 July, three or four shipments with approximately 40 track-laying amphibian vehicles, including 22 half-track vehicles, returned from Roeslau to the Sohuetsen Kaserne (4342) in Eberswalde. Approximately 100 motor vehicles and armored personnel oars were entrained by units stationed in the Sohuetsen Kaserne on 6 July. d. 6th Guards Mechanized Division: Training conducted in the vicinity of the Eberswalde Bernau and Bad Freienwalde posts increased during the second half of June. The training included river crossing exercises by engineer units of the army and the division. Tank elements of the 16th Guards Mechanized Regiment were entrained in Bad Freienwalde on 2 and 3 July. The bulk of the regiment moved by road toward Eberewalde on 4 July. Two shipments of the 120th AAA regiment went from Bernau to Altergrabow on 5-6 July. e. 7th Guards Mechanized Division: Tank unite from Fueretenwalde and Berlin- Karlshoret were at thi,Liebsrose training grounds between 16 and 29 June. The camp was occupied on 30 June. Three shipments went from Frankfurt/Oder to Altengrabow between 4 and 6 July. f. 10th Guards Tank Divisions AAA units passed through Potsdam, going South, on 5 July. Elements of the 63rd Tank Regiment have apparently left their Potsdam post. Two trains were assembled at the Potsdam railroad station on 4 July. Training with T-54 and T-34/85 tanks took place in the vicinity of the Krampnitz poet between 26 June and 5 July. 4. Special Assembly of Railroad Carat R8a Halle was ordered to turn in 100 railroad oars at Waggonfabrik Altenburg between 20 and 28 Jun.. The oars were to be equipped with collapsible bunks and black-out shads and to be held available at the factory. The personnel employed for the equipment of the oars were ordered to maintain strict secrecy. After 25 Jun., the railroad oar factories in Schwerin, Hagenov and Wittenberg were ordered to prepare 180 converted boxcars. Between 4 and 6 July, two empty trains composed of eight converted boxcars, 17 flatcars, one kitchen oar and 6 to 9 boxcars were sent from. Berlin to Brest-Litovsk. D. L 1. On 22 June, the reconnaissance battalion of Division Prenslau and the reoonnais- sance company of Rifle Regiment Prenslau were engaged in joint exercises in the vicinity of their post. 2. One or two battalions of Mechanised Regiment Potsdam left their post on 28 June. 3. 4. A shipment of 20 x 37 me AL guns arrived at the Kliets training grounds on 4 July. The move probably involved the transfer of the Potsdam ALA Regiment from Altengrabow. Approximately 550 recruits arrived at the KY? post in Altwarp during the second half of June. The [1R' post in Prenslau received 200 recruits and the Sf3 units in Berlin-Adlershof 350. The recruiting campaign is continuing. The next dis- charge is scheduled to take place in the fall.
