The Targanu f%4 depot is located in the woods at Carnes five kilo- meters out of the railroad Ilhich a circles Bucharest' , and one kileretee north of Targana. A spar track two kilaNters loft leads to the depot from Corsica. The depot co ors and area 400 by 600 meters and is ?u1-ounded by barbed 'wire. Trees have been cleared away along the barbed wire fenoe9 but mmobtruaive]y9 so that it is not noticeable. Wooden watehtovers equipped with revolving lights and five meters high, are located at each corner of the area. 2. The Targanu depot is under the jurisdiction of the Rinian Air Force and is comprised of the following installations a. 32 underground tanks. Each tank is 3.5 meters in diameter and 7 to 8 deters deep. They are covered with sandbags and piles of gravel. Pipes lead into the tanks through the gravel. Rubber hoses can be attached to the pipes. The fuel pipe network leads to the pump station vhich Is near the loading ramp. The pumping station has four automatic pumps operated by gasoline engines. be A eingle-story brick barracks and guardroom. c. A two-story building, 15 by 25 meters, in which depot personnel are quartered. 3. Forty percent of the fuel in the depot is jet fuel, 140 percent ethyl gasoliae9 and 20 percent is motor vehicle gasoline, called "blue gasoline" by the Rmsaiiaas.
