REMARKS-
On'4 June 1955, it was observed from a distance that concreting work was
bein.; done on a strip of about 400 meters on one half of the runway at
Wolfsbehringen airfield. A concrete mixing machine was in operation.
Observation at the field was considerably hamered because of road blocks
on Highway No .4 and because control rides were continuously me.de by VP men.
During talks it was learned that about 500 men were employed at the construction
site. :i local resident from Haina stated that two fuel dumps were allegedly
located in Kindelwald south of triar4,-ulation point 355.5. 25X1
(Comment, No detailed information is available ?pn the present status
o construction at 'Nolfsbehringen airfield. According to the last report
of March 1955, concreting, work had not yet been started since the frost
periods The correctness of the information in the present report in regard
to concreting work cannot be verified because the observations were made from
a distance. The information on the location of the fuel dumps near
triangulation point 355.5 also required confirmation since the re,)orted
distance from the field appears too far.
