ENCLOSURES (NO. & TYPE)
1. Prior to January 1955, the former Croessinsee Ordensburg at the western and
of Croessinsee (lake) (0 54/R 58) was occupied to capacity by Polish troops
of various branches of service. Starting in 1952, the undamaged former
Ordensburg was extended by the Poles who built additional billets. In the
summer of 1954, construction work was still in progress. 25X1
2. At first, a tank unit, soldiers of which wore blue gray uniforms and blue
gray vizor-type service caps with black cap bands, was observed in the area
of the Ordensburg. These soldiers frequently came to the town of Falkenburg
(0 54/R 48). In winter, they wore very short gray blue fabric overcoats.
Detachments of this unit which numbered 100 to 150 men occasionally marched
to the I kenburg movies. The soldiers served their full term of aotive25X1
military service. The unit has been located in the area of the Orderrburg
for some time. Between 1952 and 1954, tanks and factory-new motor vehicles
were supplied to the unit by rail. Numerous shipments of material arrived
in 1954. On he occasio of one of these shipments, about

this occasiok Prior to the spring of 1955, no major exercises of the tank
unit were observed in the area around the former Ordensburg. Training activities
which involved up to about 5 tanks were frequently observed in the wooded
area northeast of the Friedrichsdorf (o 54/R 47 estate. The troops located
in the former Ordensburg held major exercises in the area of the troop
training grounds southwest of Dramburg.(0 54/R 37). In spring, no entraining
of tank troops was observed at the Falkenbarg railroad station. 25X1
3. According to a Polish soldier who
wore an army uniform with red service color and boots, a motorized engineer
unit was always stationed at the former Ordensburg. This soldier who was
the driver of a ration supply truck of this unit had steadily to perform
service drives for his unit to Bydgoszcz (P 54/J 09) and Danzig ((4 55/Y 42).
During the summer months, no entraining of the troops was observed. Service
drives to Bydgoszcz also continued during this season. The soldiers of

slender barrels and muzzle brakes. In the fall of 1954, motorized units
which were equipped with three-axle trucks and jeeps were observed at
field training in the wooded area northeast of Friedriohsdorf. The field

6. Prior to eat 1955, the former Ordensburg also quartered a WOP (border
guard) unilrilsoldiers of which wore green service color. The soldiers were
were young recruits of the border guard troops who received 25X1
wining at this site and were subsequently dispatched for
the border.3
7. Troops from the former Ordensburg only were observed at training in the
military training area west and northwest of the former Ordensburg. No
troops came to this area from other stations. An individual biplane was
frequently observed landing on the open terrain west of the Ordensburg.
Officers' billets were located in the area of the former Bueddow (Bddowo)
estate, 1 kilometer southso e former Ordensburg. An undetermined
number of apartment h constructed at this site. No komendatura

north of the estate, on a west aide of the way from the estate to the
former Ordensburg. The depot was used for routine supplies to the troops
in the former Ordensburg.

The Falkenburg railroad station was equipped only with the old ramp
installations which were constructed by the Germans. Activities observed
at the railroad station never included entraining of troops, but were
confined to incoming shipments of material which were consigned to the
troops in the former Ordensburg. Two brick buildings which were used for
military purposes were located almost opposite the railroad station and north
of the track installations. Soldiers under arrest were detained in ora of
these buildings. Two long brick sheds south of the Falkenburg railroad station,

1. Comment. The occupation by Polish tank troops of the `former
Croessinsee Ordensburg is known and again confirmed by the present

been observed it is undetermined whether the subject troops are possibly
the tank battalion of a mechanized. regiment or component units of a tank
SP gun regiment. Hence, a previous report which presumed that a heavy
tank SP regiment is stationed at Croessinsee apparently remains unconfirmed
unless this unit is still equipped with T-34 tanks instead of heavy tanks.
The engineer soldiers observed can belong t an engineer unit or the
engineer company of a mechanized or motorized rifle regiment. The
riflemen observed riding in trucks presumably belong to a motorized rifle
battalion of a motorized rifle regiment or a mechanized regiment.
Comment. The Polish military band tends to indicate that a regimental
headquarters is stationed at the former Croessinsee Ordensburg.
Comment. The unit is possibly a training unit of the Stettin WOP
Brigade.
