1. In a meeting of 26 May 1955, the chief of the Department of Researoh and
Developlent (Abteilung Forsohung and Entwioklung)oof the Ministry of General
Machine Construction announced the expected early completion of four types
of gauge-changing (Umspar) rotary axles (Drehachaen) for railway rolling stood.

a. 1 model of Goerlits manufacture
be 2 models of Reiohsbahn manufacture
a. 1 model of Soviet manufacture
2. It was pointed out during this meeting that, in view of t rj strategic and
economic value of the project, a special effort would be made to expedite its
completion.
