THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
In an attempt to find a suitable place for the construction of a
maritime harbor, a project was developed providing for the construction
of an entirely new harbor located at the mouth of the Ziese River
& wt of Greifswald at the south end of the Greifawalder Bodden (lagoon).
Two harbor basins, each 150 meters long, were planned as the first stage
of construction. Railroad connection from Greifswald was scheduled. An
appropriate north-south channel would have to be dredged through the
Greifswalder Bodden for this purpose. This is a preliminary project in
its first stage.
