1. General Tatar Toshev., former 1 Army Commander in Sofia until 1949, is a man
of great persmal courage, is popular with the Bulgarian people., and is not
afraid to criticize openly Premier Vulkq Chervenkov.
2. Toehevy who was released froa prison in 195J, was Chief of Cavalry until
April 1955, at which time he was relegted to the position of chairmen of
a eoopwrative lobar faro in Dobrudzha.
CGdaent: Toehev was probably dismissed frca the post of Chief
of Cavalry aa sent to DObrudsha because of his outspoken criticism of
the Comunist regime in Bulgaria.
