N 44-40, E 37-50,at a distance of about one.-half nautical mile, the ship
is steered toward the harbor entrarre o?; id a range markers. The range
markers are two green lights, of,~jrhich the outer is an intermittent 25X1
light on the end. of the eastern:,obie.. The pilot comer aboard about
one and one-half nautical miles from the harbor entrance.

remaltnls of several piers were observed, some old wrecked ships had
been hauled up on land, and ter. old ship boilers were moored to buoyE
in the harbor. Grain was being l_oades . from a concrete pier about 80C
Peet long. There was one two-story building along the entire length
of the pier. Into this bu_l.1ding runs a conveyor belt which transports
the grain from the mill to three loading chutes on the. quay. These
chutes are movable and can be used anywhere along practically the
entire length of the pier. Two f:ioating cranes were in the port,,
each with an estirted hoisting capac.ty of 30 tons,.
