PLACE ACQUIRED DATE ACQUIRED 1. A purge was begun in the Soviet Embassy in Warsaw and in all of the so-called Soviet missions that functioned in Poland during 1 July 1955. All Soviet functionaries who have been in Poland for more than two years are being recalled. Those Russians who have Polish girl friends or who have become friendly with Polish families must depart immediately., is given to their qualifications or date of arrival in Ponlanndo?consideration 2. The purge is being administered by Ambassador Ponomarenko, but is actually being carried out by the Communist Party organization in the Soviet Embassy. The purge is supposed to be concluded by 1 November 1955. 3.
