On the railway sector Frankfurt-Kunowioe (Kunersdorf,N 49-44, E 21-20),on the west side of the Oder River,there is a small bridgehead manned by Soviet troops. One gun and barbed wire defences were observed. On the railway 25X1 embankment there is an observation tower. b. South of the railway bridge over the Oder the construction of the new autobahn bridge, built of concrete with seven arches, and about 180 miles long, has been completed. 2. About 500 miles west of Kunowice Station, 300 miles south of the main railway line (Frankfurt-Poznan) there are two concrete bunkers, about 150 metres apart, and facing west. About 500 miles southwest of the southermmost bunker there is a long stone building in which Polish troops are quartered. 3. On 26,August 1955 a convoy of 44 AM covered in tarpaulin was noticed at Rzepin(Reppen) Station, travelling westwards. There were no T34's among the convoy, the general outline of the AFV's being flatter than that of tha T34. 4. Eut of the railway bridge over the Vistula in the Warsaw-Brest sectiontto the north of the line,there is a Polish military camp, in which about 300 vehicles of different types, trucks, cars and jeeps, were observed. 5. On the Brest-Baranovichi section, one kilometer from Brest, north of the railway line, three Soviet bunkers, all facing west,were seen. 6. One kilometer north of Beresa Kartuskaya,an airfield was observed with 14 jet aircraft on it. 7. Many Soviet troops were seen in and around Baranoviohi station, all wearing SAP uniforms. A military train consisting of 50 trucks was observed at the railway station laden with engineer eouiffient. nontoeni- ^ar,+.1.m. ' f field bridges and 8. Twelve WT masts, two of which were estimated to be 100 meters high, were seen one kilometer east of Ozerpy Station, north of the Minsk-Smolensk railway line. One track branches off from the main line in a southwest direction. 10. A new bridge over the railway line to Moscow is being built at Dorogobyoh. It is of concrete, about 100 meters long, 10 meters wide. 11. An army POL store was seen at Krupki, north of the railway line leading to Moscow. Fourteen large fuel containers and several hundred barrels were in the enclosure. 12. One kilometer northwest of Borysowo (Borishof, N 54-09, E 22-25), about 800 meters north of the railway lineia new bridge 90-100 meters long has been built parallel to the main line. This takes the arterial road. The bridge crosses over the road coming from the north which goes in the Borysowo direction.
