RD The following is a summary of information on Soviet and East Osman military been evacuated. Intensive training activity took place at the Kroechlendortf training grounds, southwest of Prenzlau, in mid-'October. Two shipments with SP gunuunits.were sent from Eberswalde to Parchim between 28 October and 1 November; one of the shipments subsequently returned. On 31 October, a mechanized unit entered Installation No. 4161 in BerlinnKarshorst. 25X1 IlDoalligns: The engineer camp at Appolensdorf was still occupied by 800 engineers on 28 October. The other engineer camps in the Rosslau" Aken-Dessau area had 2. Shipments;.. The. following military shipments were made on the dates indicated below: 21 October: One shipment from Neubukow to Frankfurt/Odor. 26 October: One shipment with one converted boxcar and 29 flatcars froia Beeskow to Jueterbog. It is assumed that mortars were beix4 turned in. 27 Octobers One shipment from Frankfurt/Oder to Wildpark. The load included 12 x 122 mm model 1954 field guns, a type previo s:y observed at the May Day parade in Moscow. One shipment to Roederau with 20 x 85 mm AA guns, five special trailers and four boxcars with personnel. 28 October: Thirty flatcars from Frankfurt/Oder via Falkenberg. The shipment carried covered vehicles, presumably tanks. Discharges and assignment of recruits continued at Potsdam after 20 October, In mid-October, 500 UP officers arrived at Camp Noc'lten from the USSR. The units of Mechanized Division Nggesin which participated in the exercises in the Ahlbeck-Jaegerbeck area returned to their quarters during the night of 21 to 22 October. The problem of the gxxrcise was an attack under conditions in which atomic weapons are employes.
