These ships have the following specification: 32 in. long, 6 in. beam, 60 cm. draught. Delivery price fixed by the Ministry of the Interior - 700,000 DNE; actual cost - 1,250,000 DME. As of September 1955, 12 of these craft have been delivered, but actually they were part of the building plan for 1954 and could not be completed in time. c. Nineteen fishing vessels for the USSR, with radio installation; 9 tons capacity, the ships' hulls are bing built in the shipyard at Fuerstenberg/ Oder and the superstructure by Koepenick. The cost of the superstructure and fitting out is 101,000 DME, making the total cost of the vessel between 310,000 and 320,000 DM, according to the cost of the radio installation. Six of these vessels had been delivered as of 30 June 1955. d. Three hundred fift oll boats (Piraten) of which approximately 60 have been exported Price ex yard 2,400 DME, HO price 2,750 25X1 DME. As of September 1955, 250 Piraten have been delivered. 6. Exhort Prices: Export prices are fixed by the DIA after the boats have been exhibited at foreign trade fairs. The price is always below the home market price. 7. Profit and Loss: The total loss for 1954 was 4,200,000 DM; for 1955, as of 30 June 1955, 775,000 DID. These losses are caused mainly by delays in output, extra costs of finding alternative supplies, and increased wages. At the moment, a court case is being prepared on the subject of the Schwlbea -type vessel. The shipyard is asking 1,250,000 DME for this type of vessel and the Ministry of the Interior is only prepared to pay 700,000 DNE. Should the court decide in favor of the Ministry of the Interior, the yard would have to be prepared to meet a loss of 550,000 DME per ship. : According to Verzeichnis der Industriebetriebe Besatzungazone Deutschlands published by the East German Government prior to 1 April 1950, probably in 1949, VEB Yachtwerft Berlin, Berlin-Koepenick, was made up of the following yards: Claus Engelbrecht Yachtwerft GmbH, Wendenschlossstr. 366; Bernhard Brunmi, Berlin-F'riedrichshagen, Miegelseedamm 42/70; and Oswald Ernst, Berlin-Koepenick Gruenauer Str. 167.
