1.
The Cessmandature do Marine or Marine Militare has its headquarters at
Mantalia. ? unit of this ocu and has its headquarters at Constants.
2. The U3 has a Land and Sea Forces Command at Constants, which comprises
a a%41 aw 6*r of military personnel. This group is used for guarding
Soviet installations. The Command headquarters is located in the
Carlton Motel on the corner of Carol and lerdina Boulevards.
3. A training senime for draftees is located about three kilometers from
the pwt of Os3ati. These is a naval school at the training center but
the cadet school is ' is Constanta, at the west end, about 11 kilometers
from Us port. Mo>A!lematadened officers are selected from the drafteee
and ads trsiffi,ng for three to four months at the training center
before bdmg assigned to different branches of the service.
4. Before being called into serviee, draftees are axs ined by a committee
which determines the branch of service to which each individual will
reperte After this exoduation, a note is sent to each draftee stating
the branch to which at-ssigned, the place and date of induction. Each
year 2VO00 to 3,000 draftees report for service.
