The railway artillery in the northern section of lpAipeda harboriisa ye Jaeger there. On the northern side of the entrance near the sea wall,one battery with three 12 cm. all-purpose guns was observed. One AA battery was observed in the inner harbor area. 2. The new construction which had been going on for some time on the south ballast-loading wharf in Klaipeda appeared to have been finished in the latter part of September. The lengthening of the wharf was complete. Six diesel-powered five-ton cranes had been mounted on the wharf. In the northern part of the wharf area there was a coal storage for export coal.
