B. Blvaluation of the Concerned. Office:
Chief, Administrative Staff/OL on 11 Nereh 1957 stated the
following:
"The proponal contained ist sUbject Suggestion was investigated
by the Assistant Safety Officer/OS and the Chief, Headquarters
Section, SM&F Baranch/OL.
"The investigation revealed that the hinges od the gate were free
evinging; therefore, it would not be neeessea7 to relocate thew,
Bower, the eyebolt which provosts the gate from swinging out
can be ;earned to a horismialweitioa thus permitting a full
suing of the gate in either direction. A. tripping hasarl can
be eliminated by removing the 'horizontal pipe presently exposed
under the gate.
"Contact has been made with the Pdblic Buildings Service vith
respect to effecting Changes mentioned Above. Efforts are being
made to have the shark accomplished as quickly as possible.
"It is recommended that the Suggester be given a nominal eash
award for an idea which viii result in safer conditions for
Agency personnel.
