The Germans destroyed 80 of Kharkov!s factories and 60% of Its dwellings. Thirteen of 50 coal mines have been restored, but production does not exceed 30 or 40 tons daily. By contrast, Soviets claim that prewar production was 1,000 tons p or day, 7. The tractor factory produces one or two tractors daily. 8. Three tall buildings in the center of town, housing Khnrlaov's administrative headquarters, were not damaged structurally, Many of the administrative offices normally located in Kiev are now in Kharkov.
