2. Match Factories - There was one factory in Riga, one in Liepaja (Libau). Both
produced 79 million boxes for local consumption only.
3. Rubber Plants - There were three plants, all in Riga. In 1938 they used 789 tons
of raw caoutchouc (imported raw rubber). They produced;

Fertilizers - Fertilizer production in 1938 was:.
115,167 tons super phosphate
1,203 tons - Thomas phosphate
1,994 tons - bone fertilizers
The 1,994 tons of bone' fertilizer were produced in three plants in Riga out
of 3,901 tons of bones (All Latvia produced about 16 to 20 thousand tons of
bones.) Super phosphate was produced at the factory in Milgravis (Muhlgraben)
near Riga.

plus 16 tons imported casein. 82 tons of artificial horn were produced in 1938.
